About

Who we are

Levyco Development is built around deep, hands-on experience: years of designing and building systems for public lotteries, online gaming, fintech, retail, manufacturing, and television, in more languages and on more platforms than most teams ever touch.

How we work

We’d rather understand a problem completely than start coding quickly. We write down our decisions, test everything, and tell you the truth about what’s hard. Read more about our process.

The name behind the name

Levyco Development, LLC is a software development consortium specializing in the design, architecture and implementation of large-scale software solutions for businesses. Our focus is on high-performance, cost-effective solutions using managed cloud services to their fullest potential. We believe rooms or cages of dedicated servers sitting idle most of the time are a thing of the past.

Spearheaded by Bret Levy, Levyco Development, LLC has a proven track-record of software excellence, customer satisfaction and cost-effectiveness. Our solutions have proven themselves in a wide variety of applications and business segments, including fintech, retail, public-gaming, Internet properties, Internet e-commerce, large-scale web printing and many other business solutions.

Levyco Development, LLC was founded in 1985 as Levyco, Inc. We have remained small as a corporate entity, yet we have been able to participate in huge and exciting endeavors during our history, including the opportunity to work in California’s Silicon Valley during the “Internet Gold Rush” (in hind site, the “Internet Bubble”). This was an exciting time for a development company like ours. We saw tremendous acceleration in technology development, we saw the acceptance of open-source solutions (such as “Lamp”, Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP), and we thrived in the “got to have it today” euphoria that existed in the valley and beyond.

Bret Levy is the heart of our organization. He remains an active developer and designer in our organization and remains active with all our clientelle. Mr. Levy has over 30 years of experience in the software field, including full-time employment as the Senior Director of Software Development for the leading world-wide lottery supplier, and as the CTO of two Internet companies in Silicon Valley. Mr. Levy also sat on the technology board of the leading Internet auction company.

Our organization also offers access to other developers and engineers with a wide range of skills. Our flexibility allows us to bring in the necessary talent, and in many cases use existing client resources, to complete our tasks. In fact, we prefer to use client resources in order to ensure skilled “in-house” expertise with new technologies and products.
